ANNOUNCEMENT AND REGULATIONS

The competition is open to lyrical singers of all nationalities, without age limits.

Art. 1 ADDRESSES AND PROGRAM The Competition will take place in Bellano from July 31st to August 3rd, 2024 with the following schedule:

• July 30-31, eliminations from 10:30 am to 8 pm at the Theater in Via Roma It will be possible to warm up the voice in the school building next to the Theater.

• August 1nd, semifinal from 11 am to 8 pm at the Theater in Via Roma

• August 2rd, final - Winners' Concert outdoors on the stage directly on the Lake.

Singers who were FINALIST in other lyrical Competitions held in 2024 are admitted directly to the Semifinal if the registration form includes the relevant certification.

Art. 3 CASH PRIZES AND THEATRICAL ENGAGEMENTS At the end of the final phase, the judging panel will announce the winners and award the following prizes (equivalent to scholarships) gross of any tax deductions: 1st prize €1500 2nd prize €1000 3rd prize €500

• Concert for the 2026 Season of the Arpeggione Orchestra in Austria for one or more finalists chosen by the Superintendent on the jury (Maestro Irakli Gogibedaschwili)     SEE THE PRIZE Edition 2023 (the concert will take place on July 6th, 2024)

• Concert for the 2026 Season of the Metropolitan Orchestra of Bari for one or more finalists chosen by the Artistic Director Maestro Vito Clemente

• Popular Jury Prize - Concert offered by the Municipality of Bellano for the 2025 chamber season

• Possibility of engagements at the discretion of the Theater Directors present on the jury (Izmir Opera, Fuerteventura Opera)

The Jury has the authority to award one or more prizes Ex aequo. In this case, the prizes themselves will be divided equally. It also has the authority not to award the prizes provided if it does not deem the participants deserving.

Art. 4 REGISTRATION

The registration form (to be completed in the form below) must be submitted no later than July 29th, 2025, attaching the following documents: a. Curriculum vitae (in .doc or .pdf format); b. Copy of the Identity Card (in .jpeg format); c. Copy of the Payment of €80 (in .doc or .pdf format) payable to:

Art. 5 Contestants must present a maximum of 4 arias from the international repertoire, of which at least 2 in Italian.

Art. 6 The organization will provide an accompanying pianist (Maestro DAMIANO CERUTTI). It is recommended to bring suitable music for the pianist. Contestants may, at their own expense, be accompanied by a pianist of their choice.

Art. 7 The Lake Como Academy Association reserves the right to photograph and record the stages of the Competition, and no compensation will be due to contestants for video recordings and photographs.

Art. 8 Registration for the Competition implies unconditional acceptance of these Regulations and all the information indicated on this page, as well as the reservation of the Artistic Direction to make modifications to it.
