ANNOUNCEMENT AND REGULATIONS
The competition is open to opera singers of all nationalities, with no age limit.
Art. 1 – VENUE AND SCHEDULE
The Competition will take place in Bellano from July 30 to August 2, 2026, with the following schedule:

July 30–31: Preliminary rounds from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM at the Theatre in Via Roma
Warm-up rooms will be available in the school building next to the theatre. -
August 1: Semifinal from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Theatre in Via Roma

August 2: Final – Winners’ Concert in open air on a stage directly on the Lake
Singers who were FINALISTS in other opera competitions held in 2025 are admitted directly to the semifinal round, provided that appropriate certification is attached to the application.

Art. 3 – CASH PRIZES AND ENGAGEMENTS
At the end of the final round, the jury will declare the winners and award the following prizes (gross amounts, subject to applicable taxes):

1st Prize: €1500

2nd Prize: €1000

3rd Prize: €500

Concert in the 2027 season of the Arpeggione Orchestra (Austria)

Concert in the 2027 season of the Metropolitan Orchestra of Bari, for one or more finalists selected by Artistic Director M° Vito Clemente

Concert in the 2027 season of the Lake Como Philharmonic Orchestra

Concert in the 2027 season of the Pianomaster Festival

Possible engagements offered by theatre directors present on the jury
(Izmir Opera, Fuerteventura Opera, Skopje Opera)
The Jury may award prizes ex aequo. In such cases, prizes will be equally divided. The Jury also reserves the right not to award prizes if candidates are deemed not deserving.
Art. 4 – APPLICATION
Applications (to be completed in the form below) must be submitted no later than July 25, 2026, including the following documents:
a. Curriculum vitae (in .doc or .pdf format)
b. Copy of ID (in .jpeg format)

Art. 5
Competitors must present a maximum of 4 arias from the international repertoire, at least 2 of which must be in Italian.
Art. 6
The organization will provide an accompanist pianist (M° Damiano Cerutti).
Participants are requested to bring suitable sheet music for the pianist.
Competitors may, at their own expense, be accompanied by their own pianist.
Art. 7
The Lake Como Academy Association reserves the right to photograph and record all phases of the competition. No compensation will be due to participants for photos or video recordings.
Art. 8
Participation in the Competition implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Regulations and all information provided on this page, as well as the Artistic Direction’s right to make changes.
